MASCO (Medical Academic and Scientific Community Organization) is a non-profit organization based in Boston’s Longwood Medical and Academic Area (LMA), serving a consortium of leading medical, academic, and research institutions. Its mission is to foster collaboration and deliver services that enhance the efficiency, safety, and vibrancy of the LMA community.

MASCO provides a wide range of services, including area planning and development, transportation and parking solutions, emergency preparedness, sustainability initiatives, and community engagement, playing a vital role in supporting the growth and excellence of the institutions it represents.

The 2021 annual report was designed in collaboration with Communication via Design to highlight the Collective’s dedication to a strong, interconnected community of member organizations, while showcasing the development of effective programs addressing key issues such as accessibility, sustainability, cost reduction, emergency preparedness, and urban planning.

The theme of transformation and renewal is reflected by utilizing triangular and geometric shapes to accentuate the number and positive impact of MASCO within the institutions it serves and its vision of “Making Longwood the most desirable place to Work, Learn, and Heal!”
